It's happening!! It only took 19 years, but it's happening!! Gears of War is finally coming to a PlayStation console near you!!

I am a huge fan of the Gears of War series and have been through the majority of the series with the exception of "Judgement", and I wasn't a huge fan of GoW 5 either. 

But I remain confident that they are going to get back on track with the recent announcement of the new up-and-coming Gears of War: E-Day, which is touted to be set 14 years before the Gears of War (One). Although, at the time of writing this, I'm not sure a release date has been set.

- *Gears of War* returns, remastered and optimised from the ground up
- Initial launch date set for: August 26, 2025
- Set price for $39.99 (£30.00), although likely £39.99 in the UK
- Platforms include: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PlayStation 5 and Steam, and arrives day one with Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass.
- Cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms
- Xbox fans who own the digital version of *Gears of War: Ultimate Edition* receive a free upgrade to *Gears of War: Reloaded*

It comes with a whole host of tasty new and improved features, which I have listed below. I'll be doing my best to push my RTX 3080 to run the game at full 4k/120fps (or 60fps in the campaign if that's accurate information).

Although I cannot confirm any system requirements officially, I have seen reports that the "recommended" tier for the GPU is: AMD Radeon RX 6800XT / NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super and the recommended CPU is: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X / Intel Core i5-10600K and I imagine 16GB would be optimal for the recommended requirement tier.
